an Indian at heart a tassel to everything, u find tassels to every possible piece of textile, bags, belts, turbans, shawls, etc almost everything, old textiles are full of tassels of various kinds
the first ever tutorial am posting

Making tassel out of fabric scraps.
Scraps of fabrics,
seed beads of your choice ( matching or contrast)
hand stitching needle and thread

Cut a fabric scrap to 4” X 1”,

my fabric had zigzag lines on it so I have cut it along the lines,

even straight fabric works fine.

Thread a hand stitching needle with thread, pass some beads through the needle and stitch running stitch along length of the fabric cut for tassel
Pull the thread to make gathers,

pass the needle through the beads and secure the end

Will post tutorials for all the differet kinds of tassels i can make :- part 2 continues after a break

There are many things happening in my life but somewhere I feel am nowhere to be found have been loosing on my creative activity its been long have been craving to get to my roots, trying hard too, but don’t understand where my time escapes, Sometimes I think that I am too hard on myself, that I come off too depressed or angry or whatever. I think that's a function of being hyper all the time. I am always frantic, and I'm trying to find the "off" switch. took 3 days off at work to get control of my chaotic life, once again I misled myself to my spending time decluttering and replacing items and cleaning the house. I find it so irritating that so much of my life is being absorbed by an obsession with cleaning. where did this madness come from??? I feel everyday I do nothing but clean, cook and go to work

i suppose it would be a little challenge for the kids to go to school after a break, i hated going to school, as today morning was a chaos in our house, both of them were relectant to go to school after travelling back from wedding ceremony of their maternal uncle last night, trying to search for things that were lying in front of their eyes, purposely doing things late, elder one took 45 minutes in the bathroom God knows doing what.

Finally went to school

kids are fun to be with inspite of all the extra efforts you have to put in.

Real Good One…!Just thought of sharing the same.
We all are in some way a crack pot, but what is important is to take
advantage of the same and even make that so beautiful. Read on….
*A PRECARIOUS BALANCE IN LIFE**
*
A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on each end of a pole
which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, and
while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water
at the end of the long walk from the stream to the master's house, the
cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one
and a half pots full of
water in his master's house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its
accomplishments, perfect to the end for which it was made. But the poor
cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was
able to accomplish only half of what it had been
made to do.
After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the
water bearer one day by the stream.
"I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you."
"Why?" asked the bearer."What are you ashamed of?"
"I have been able, for these past two years, to deliver only half my load
because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to
your master's house. Because of my flaws, you have to do all of this work,
and you don't get full value from your efforts", the pot said.
The water bearer felt sorry for the old cracked pot, and in his compassion
he said,"As we return to the master's house, I want you to notice the
beautiful flowers along the path."
Indeed, as they went up the hill, the old cracked pot took notice of the sun
warming the beautiful wild flowers on the side of the path, and this cheered
it some. But at the end of the trail, it still felt bad because it had
leaked out half its load, and so again it apologized to the bearer for its
failure.
The bearer said to the pot,"Did you notice that there were flowers only on
your side of your path, but not on the other pot's side? That's because I
have always known about your flaw, and I took advantage of it. I planted
flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back from
the stream, you've watered them. For two years I have been able to pick
these beautiful flowers to decorate my master's table. Without you being
just the way you are, he would not have this beauty to grace his house."
Moral : Each of us has our own unique flaws. We're all cracked pots. But
it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very
interesting and rewarding. We have just got to take each person for what
they are, and look for the good in them. There is a lot of good out there.
There is a lot of good in all of us !

I grew up in a home where my parents put everyone else's needs ahead of their own, and my mother who goes out of her way to make others comfortable at our home. I grew up feeling that life was not safe and that I must struggle to survive emotionally, with all the failures in my life, I felt, strong and at peace with my life, as i attached myself to my nieces Netra and Hunan with those hippie slings, taking them everywhere with me, not missing out on anything in life, but simply adding them to it. Self care and self focus seemed to fly out the window in favour of putting them first. It's so very easy to lose my "self", when i become so hyper-focused on them, especially when they both are so close to my heart, my nieces They have healed me in more ways than I thought possible...it is them who have led me to refocus on my creativity. We bake, cook, draw, knit etc together thier creative interests has strengthened my passion for creativity

Its been almost after a year and half had not worked on my braiding pieces, partly because my injured finger took almost nine months to heal perfectly and partly was a little upset with life, nothing unusual the whole world goes through this facade of life. this project was left unfinished in the box for years had started in 2001 sometime after earthquake but took really long to finnish the piece yet the finnishing braids are left, am not able to decide which one to do my regular 8 strand sinnet or something else

Look at the Other Side..
A Father was reading a magazine and his little daughter every now and then distracted him. To keep her busy, he tore one page on which was printed the map of the world. He tore it into pieces and asked her to go to her room and put them together to make the map again.
He was sure she would take the whole day to get it done. But the little one came back within minutes with perfect map... When he asked how she could do it so quickly, she said, "Oh... Dad, there is a man's face on the other side of the paper... I made the face perfect to get the map right." she ran outside to play leaving the father surprised.
Moral of the Story:
Friends, There is always the other side to whatever you experience in this world. This story indirectly teaches a lesson. i.e. whenever we come across a challenge or a puzzling situation, look at the other side... You will be surprised to see an easy way to tackle the problem..
